VALMAGNE ABBEY TOUR

Set off to discover this prestigious edifice which, 9 centuries after its foundation, is still as magnificent as ever!
The ‘ Vines Cathedral’ is at the heart of a thousand-year-old vineyard, one of the oldest in the Languedoc, and has been producing top-quality organic wines since 1999. For over 40 years and with the same passion, the family De Gaudart d'Allaines, owners for 9 generations, has been welcoming visitors to this remarkable site.
To round off your visit, a tasting of the estate's organic wines is offered on site.
Finally, for those who wish to extend this moment of pleasure, the abbey's restaurant offers authentic, gourmet cuisine showcasing organic vegetables and aromatic herbs from the kitchen garden and local producers.
An outstanding place of remembrance and a winegrowing estate that is still going strong today.

- IGPs on silt/clay-limestone soils producing fruity wines.
- AOP Languedoc on limestone hillside soils for more structured, digestible and aromatic wines.
- AOP Languedoc Grès de Montpellier, for wines for ageing and great finesse.
