The Thau Archipelago by bike

This summer, it's decided, I'm opting for an eco-responsible holiday! I rent a bike in Sète, and I'm going on a mop, discovering the diversity of the landscapes of the Thau Archipelago.

Heading for the Gardiole

The Gardiole massif is a beautiful playground for thrill-seekers. If, like me, you are a seasoned sportsman, don't hesitate to go there, preferably in the early morning to avoid the heat. Take advantage of your outing in the garrigue to admire the exceptional view that the massif offers you over the lagoon and the Thau archipelago, a great reward after the effort!

Aresquiers wood, in Vic-la-Gardiole

For lovers of walks and tranquility, there's nothing like an outing for two or a family outing to the Bois des Aresquiers in Vic-la-Gardiole.  Its proximity to the sea, rare in the Mediterranean region, makes this wood an exceptional and original place where you can observe plant and animal species typical of the Thau archipelago. Little advice: equip yourself with binoculars so you don't miss anything!

Around the Thau Lagoon

Another option for your bike rides: ride around the Thau lagoon on the greenway! My favourite: the section between Bouzigues and Balaruc-le-Vieux. On the edge of the lagoon, you can easily observe various species of birds, and if you are lucky, pink flamingos!
