The Etang d'Ingril, the jewel of the Hérault lagoons, lies to the east of Frontignan and stretches majestically over 5 kilometers in an unspoilt natural setting. This vast 250-hectare expanse of water, separated from the Mediterranean by a thin lido, is part of the prestigious Etangs Palavasiens network, classified as a Natura 2000 site and included on the Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance. A remnant of an immense lagoon that once stretched from La Grande-Motte to Frontignan, this pond offers a striking natural spectacle, with a harmonious blend of dune systems, sansouires (salt marshes) and mud flats.
