Cooking in Sète!
Rich in history, the little Venice of Languedoc can also boast a generous culinary heritage. And what could be better than to experience this during a cooking workshop during your holidays? If you are tempted by the experience, go to the heart of the Halles de Sète to meet Joe the Cooker and his chef, Magali Mag.
For adults
With friends or family, beginners or experts, the chef Magali invites you to discover the secrets of Sète's recipes during one of the three thematic workshops she offers: Discovery, Authentic, Ronda Viticole.
You will have the choice between: making a dish and a dessert; cooking a starter, a dish and a dessert; unless you prefer to accompany your dishes with a wine tasting. And if the dilemma is too great, it is even possible to do a course (180€ - 6 people) which combines the 3 workshops in one.
Once you've made your choice, all you have to do is get your apron and get started. Peeling, poaching, peeling, cutting... These are the main steps that await you during this workshop, always under the watchful eye and good advice of Magali.
At the end of the workshop, you will be able to taste your creations in a friendly atmosphere or take them home (remember to bring your Tupperware). The little extra: a recipe sheet is given to you so that you can reproduce everything at home.
Practical information :
- Between 45€ and 95€.
- Between 6 and 12 people depending on the workshop
For the children
Children will also be able to learn about Sétoise cuisine during a workshop with Magali. Once equipped with their hats and aprons, they will have the choice between making traditional Sétois biscuits or the famous tielle, the emblem of the maritime city. It will also be a great opportunity for them to learn about the flavours and tastes of vegetables and fruit. Once the workshop is over, each child will have the choice of tasting it on the spot or leaving with his or her creations, equipped with the recipe to share with friends and family.
And why not think even bigger for your child's birthday? Indeed, at Joe le Cooker, it is possible to blow out their candles after having made some traditional Sète cakes and to celebrate with their friends (prices on request).
Practical information :
- From 6 to 14 years old
- From 15€ to 35€.
- From 3 to 10 participants depending on the workshop
