Presentation

12 electric bicycles, with a range of 25 km, are available for hire in Marseillan. They will be distributed over 3 stations: at the Town Hall, the Port and the Tourist Office. The bikes have a removable battery system, which avoids the heavy investment of electrifying the stations from the ground. The maintenance of the bicycles and the changing of the batteries will be carried out by a local player (Artimon Nautique, bicycle rental company in Marseillan).

An anti-theft device integrated into the bike will allow users to make a quick stop, while securing the bike.
Users can hire the bikes in three ways. Cyclists can use the "Marseillan - Vélo libre-service" application (available on Apple or Android, or on the web app marseillan.ecovelo.mobi) which indicates the location and number of bikes available at each station. They will also be able to rent them by SMS or with a contactless bank card.
